چکیده
Cervical cancer is one of the most severe malignant tumors since it is the second largest mortality rate that affect women’s life worldwide (Parkin et al., 2005). There are multiple pathogenesis for cervical cancer, although the primary factor in cervical cancer is infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) (Walboomers et al., 1999). Previously, treatment for cervical cancer mainly focused on radiotherapy together with surgical excision and chemotherapy, however the recurrence rate is still high in many cases of cervical cancer (Jadon et al., 2014). Recent work mainly focused on different expression of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes (Dammann et al., 2000) in cervical cancer, which are important for the regulation of cell cycle. Therefore, we studied Ras association protein to investigate for a cure of cervical cancer. Ras protein belongs to a class of protein called small GTPase, which is involved in various cell signaling process (Goodsell, 1999). Activation of Ras signaling can result in gene expression that controls the growth, differentiation and survival of cells (Downward, 2003), thus lead to cell proliferation and cancer (Malumbresand Barbacid, 2003). Ras is one of the most common oncogenes (Bos, 1989), which was found in up to 90% cases in several types of cancer as a constitutively active form, including pancreatic

LncRNA Miat Promotes Proliferation of Cervical Cancer Cells and Acts as an Anti-apoptotic Factor
There are a sub-population of cells in tumor tissues known as cancer stem cells (CSCs) which have similar features with stem cells, including self-renewal and differentiation capacity. Recently, it was established that not only stem cells factors such as Oct4, but also ES-associated lncRNAs are contributing to various regulatory aspects of CSCs. Myocardial infarction associated transcript (MIAT...
متن کاملEffects and Mechanism of Baicalin on Apoptosis of Cervical Cancer HeLa Cells In-vitro
The objective of this study was to observe the apoptosis-inducing effect and mechanism of baicalin on human cervical cancer HeLa cells. The inhibitory effect of baicalin on the growth of HeLa cells was measured by MTT assay, and cell proliferation and migration was analyzed by cell scratch assay. Morphological changes of apoptotic cells were viewed by the light microscope and electron microscop...

متن کاملTime dependent of epigenetic effect of disulfiram on tumor suppressor gene of RASSF1A in Hela cancer cell line
Introduction: Cervical cancer is the third most common tumor among women. Surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy are common treatments, however high stage tumors have frequently poor prognosis. Nowadays, the epigenetic reversion introduced as an efficient strategy of treatment of cervical cancer. In the process, inhibitors of DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) induce re-expression of tumor suppresso...
متن کاملEVALUATION OF THE EFFECTS OF IBUPROFEN CYTOTOXIC DOSE ON EXPRESSION LEVEL OF EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX DEGRADING MMP-9 AND ANTI-METASTASIS NM23 GENES IN CERVICAL CANCER CELLS
Background & Aim: Although studies have shown that ibuprofen has anticancer effects on many cancer cells, the mechanism of the ibuprofen anticancer effect in cancer cells is not still well understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cytotoxic concentration of ibuprofen on the expression level of MMP-9 and NM23 genes in cervical cancer cells. Materials & Methods: During t...
متن کاملجداسازی ملیتین از زهر زنبور عسل بومی ایران و بررسی اثر آن بر تکثیر سلولهای سرطانی دهانه رحم - رده HeLa
Introduction: Cervical cancer is the second prevalent cancer in developing countries and the sixth prevalent cancer in USA. Since conventional treatment methods are associated with detrimental side effects, searching for new drugs using natural ingredients is very important. Previous studies have shown that melittin (main component of honey bee venom) has anticancer properties along with the ef...
